A Unique Southern California Film Production & Photo Shoot Location
The Last Outpost Ranch
The Last Outpost Ranch spans 35 acres across two distinct properties, each offering original and diverse looks. Nestled in the western Santa Monica Mountains, it’s just 5 miles southwest of Thousand Oaks and 20 mins of the 101 Freeway. Bordering pristine state parkland, the ranch’s western edge offers uninterrupted views of Carlisle Canyon’s unspoiled beauty.
As a working creative community, we’ve proudly hosted a wide range of productions, blending unique backdrops with cinematic versatility. We take a can-do attitude toward making your production a success. There’s lots of provided infrastructure here, making it easier to execute your creative vision, without having to think so much about the back end. We are also located inside the Secondary Zone.
Our outdoor locations include majestic oak and sycamore trees, dirt and paved roads, scenic trails, rustic bridges, vintage outbuildings, seasonal creeks, massive boulders, and breathtaking mountain vistas.
On our second property, you’ll find a rustic abandoned cottage and a distinctive stone-and-wood elephant barn, offering even more unique settings for your production.
